Adam El Abd (Left) in action
Adam made his return against Crystal Palace,
in a tough game against last season's top flight club.
Brighton went into the lead twice but each time their
opponents equalised. In stoppage time, Palace got a
winner to end the game in a 3-2 for the half-Egyptian.
El-Abd went into the back-line and
played the full game. After it, his manager had words
of praise for him, appreciating the effort he put in.
The trip to Cardiff was next, but with the experienced
Dodd back, Adam was kept out. Dodd was however injured
after around quarter of an hour, and El-Abd came on.
Despite going behind, the Seagulls were able to come
out with a point by the end.
Tge latest game was home to Derby County, and El-Abd
started once more. An exciting game saw the man of the
match award go to on-loan keeper Blayney, who saved
a penalty during the encounter. Adam was saved by Blayney,
when in the final moments the ball hit his foot in the
area and was going into his own net - only for the keeper
to rescue.

Brighton however are in 23rd out of 24, and avoiding relegation
will have to be, like last season, a huge ordeal.
El-Abd recently revealed that he is content with his current
personal form, which looks to have merited him a starting
place at the club.
