EgyptianPlayers.com can confirm that Abu-Mosallem
is just days, if not hours away from signing for Strasbourg.
French sources have stated that Ahmed Abu-Mosallem is
on his way to Hosni Abd Rabo's French club.

The Egyptian had trailed at Strasbourg and impressed,
but it was not certain whether he would sign. The club
had said that he was useful but any chance of him signing
would be down to Marc Keller, the man in charge of recruitment
at the club, and in January.
Abu-Mosallem was also on the short-list of Nantes in
the past, and was at another Ligue 1 outfit, Le Mans,
just two weeks ago. Realising the danger of him signing
elsewhere, Strasbourg were quick to indicate their interest.
A local newspaper wrote that Abu-Mosallem would arrive
in Strasbourg today (Friday), while Football 365 wrote
that the club are ready to come to an agreement that
would bring him to the club immediately, especially
if he is left out of the national team. Egypt are currently
using Mohamed Abdel-Wahab or Tarek El-Sayed in the left-back
position.

Marc Keller stated, "We are waiting for a confirmation
of him not being selected (for the national team).
"If he does not go to the African Cup of Nations then
the transfer should be finalised on Monday," he added.
So it looks as though there will be a third Egyptian in France.
Abu-Mosallem will join team-mate Hosni Abd Rabo at Strasbourg,
as well as Ahmed Farag of Sochaux.
