Ahmed Abo Mosallam claimed today on Egyptian TV that
Championship side Crystal Palace have contacted his
French club in order to sign him in the January transfer
window.
Egyptian left back Ahmed Abo Mosallam is not needed
by Strasbourg, he rarely started in the first half of
season and was left out of selection in almost every
match.
The current coach of the French side announced a few
days ago that Abo Mosallam will have to find a new club
for him in the coming transfer window as the player
is out of Forlan's plans.
Abo Mosallam revealeed today that Crystal Palace enquired
about him and contacted Strasbourg to sign the Egyptian:
"Crystal Palace in England are interested in me
and sent an inquiry to my club.
"I'd be keen on going to England so I can get some
first-team football. He added
Abo Mosallam expressed his desire to move to the English
side in order to play first team football. His desire
to play for the national team in Ghana meant he was
desperate to move away from France but he admitted this
move has come to late to earn him a call up:
"I've been desperate to move away from France so I can
play regularly and get into the national team, but this is
all too late to earn me a call-up."
Crystal Palace are currently 8th in the Championship, only
a point of the promotion places and are currently the form
side in their division with the manager claiming the Manager
of Month accolade for December.
