Saving Tackle By Mosallam As Strasbourg Beat Auxerre
Date: 18-8-2007 Wrote: EP's webmaster
Ahmed Abo Mosallam played his first game this season
and helped Strasbourg achieve their first win in three
games. The Egyptian made a great life saving tackle
that prevented a real goal for Auxerre.
Egyptian left back Ahmed Abo Mosallam finally started
for Strasbourg. The Egyptian didn't see action in the
first two league games but managed to make his season
debut against Auxerre which ended in a 3-0 win for the
homeside.
Abo Mosallam made a great saving tackle in the match
which prevented a real goal. The Strasbourg goalkeeper
came out of his net and couldn't collect the ball which
fell to an Auxerre player who tried to bury it into
the empty net. However, Abo Mosallam quickly dived in
and through his body into the direction of the ball
to prevent a real goal.
Abo Mosallam's side scored three times in the game.
Their first and second goals came through . Cuesta who
scored in the24th and 67th minutes respectively while
the 3rd came in the last minute through Gameiro.
Despite the great tackle from the Egyptian, he showed an average
performance but hopefully he will appear in better form in
the coming matches.
It should be noted that Strasbourg are currently 7th in the
tabke after this win and they will play away this weekend
versus Toulouse.
