Hosni Abd Rabo and Abo
Mosallam's Strasbourg were on the verge of losing at
home to Lille but a late goal by Amara Diane rescued
a point for the homeside and kept their hopes in escaping
relegation alive.

The game took place at Strasbourg's home turf. Despite
this, Lille were always the first side to score as their
forward Keita scored an early goal from a well placed
header in the 8th minute of the game. The goal came
through a cross from the left wing, Abo Mosallam desperately
tried to clear the ball before Keita who headed the
ball home to give Lille the early lead.
In the 30th minute, Farnerud leveled the score once
again from a low shot from the edge of the box. The
Ivorian striker Amara Diane laid the ball superbly to
Farnerud and the latter shot the ball directly from
the edge of the box to beat the Senegalese goalkeeper
Sylva and to make the score 1-1.
In the 2nd half, Strasbourg pushed men forward and
they were close to score the winning goal. However,
a mistake from their goalkeeper cost them dear as they
went behind by a goal once again. The goal came through
a cross from the right wing, the goalkeeper of Strasbourg
tried to collect the ball in the air but it fell from
his hands to find Kieta who made no mistake and buried
the ball home with a direct volley shot to make the
score 1-2 for Lille.

After the goal, Strasbourg kept battling and managed to equalize
through Amara Diane who scored from close range after taking
advantage from a big mistake by the goalkeeper Toni Sylva.
The goal came through a cross from the left wing which went
low in front of goal, Sylva tried to collect the ball but
it fell from his hands to find Diane who scored with ease
in the last minute of the game.
With this draw, Strasbourg revived their hopes in escaping
relegation and will some effort in the coming games, we will
likely see Hosni and Abo Mosallam in the French Le Championnat
next season.
It should ben oted that both Egyptians at Strasbourg played
the full match and both did well throughout the game. Hosni
also had a close attempt on goal but the goalkeeper Sylva
managed to save Hosni's shot. On the other side, Abo Mosallam
focused more on defense as the Ivorian Boka took the resposibility
of attacking from the left wing leaving defensive dutied to
Abo Mosallam.
