Hosni Abd Rabo and Abo Mosallam's Strasbourg advanced to the last 16 round of UEFA cup after their 0-0 draw with Litex in the 2nd leg match. Abo Mosallam who played the first leg game, was rested today as the Ivorian left back Boka started in his place.

Strasboug won the first leg by two goals to nil and so, their mission was easy in the 2nd leg which affected the quality of the game as most of gameplay was restricted to the midfield area and the chances were few.

The match ended in a goal-less draw and Strasbourg advanced to the last 16 round after winning 2-0 on aggregate.

Both Egyptians at Strasbourg Ahmed Abo Mosallam and Hosni Abd Rabo missed the game. Abd Rabo's absence was due to injury while Abo Mosallam's absence was due to the Ivorian international Boka who returned from the African Cup of Nations to get back into Strasbourg's main selection.

It should be noted that Ahmed Abo Mosallam signed for Strasbourg in the winter break to offer the needed replacement for Boka during the ACN, but the Egyptian played some very good games for the French side and will probably take Boka's place in the starting eleven in the coming matches.
