Hosni Abd Rabo, now the only Egyptian in any European competition, looks odds-on to qualify to the last-16 of the UEFA Cup, after being drawn against Litex in the last-32.

The first leg will be in Bulgaria, where Strasbourg will hope to get a good result and an away goal in order to have an easier job at home.

Should they go through to the next round, they will face a tough tie against the winner of the tie between Swiss club FC Basel and fellow French outfit AS Monaco.

Although the tournament also started with Hossam Ghaly, Ahmed Ghanem, Ahmed Hassan, Amir Megahed, Shikabala and Mohamed Zidan looking for places in the last-32, only Hosni Abd Rabo will be representing the Egyptians abroad in either of the major two European competitions.
