Hosni’s Strasbourg faced Troyes away
in the 10th match-day of the French championship. Before
the game, Strasbourg were 19th and Troyes 17th, so a
very important match was on hold to decide the current
destiny of the relegation zone.
Hosni marked his return with very good service and
a splendid goal.
Hosni Abd Rabo played the full game. He produced a
decent game, in which he was serious and concentrated
very much in his defensive midfield role.
Strasbourg dominated this game with many dangerous
attacks but once again there was a lack of quality in
the final product.
In the 43rd minute, just before half time, Alex Farnerud
scored after a pass into the centre from Pagis.
Half time: 0-1 to Hosni’s team.

In the 69th minute, Alex Farnerud missed the target after
beautiful work from Pagis. It was certainly the match ball
but as has been the case all season, Hosni’s partners
have missed chances in front of unfavourable goalkeepers.
Troyes profited from the missed chance of Farenerud and
equalised thanks to the Tunisian Zied Jaziri who took a powerful
shot. Cassard, Strasbourg’s goalkeeper wasn’t able
to do anything about it.
The final result was 1-1.
It is still a disappointment for Strasbourg because they
deserved more surely. Since the beginning of the championship
they have produced excellent football with tactics based on
attack. But unfortunately the ball doesn’t want to hit
the net enough.
We hope that in the future all their attempts will be transformed
into goals, because they deserve better than their 19th place
with only 6 points, 4 points behind the team just above the
relegation zone. The UEFA Cup performances have shown us that
they should be doing better.
The next match is at home against Rennes, who are currently
16th. A victory will be great and Strasbourg expect nothing
less in order to go up in the classification.
Hosni will certainly be in the team. EP hope to see good
performance from him...
